FC1 slow all the time / error 500

Geez, why has it been like this for months now? Sometimes the whole page takes forever to load. Sometimes just my designs/players levels. Sometimes you get stuck staring at the bubbles forever. Sometimes its that generic server error 500. Sometimes it's the message that too many people are playing right now, which is hard to believe, as sometimes days go by without anyone making any new levels.

I know FC2 is more popular, but what's the deal? Is FC1 being ran off some 386 in the basement now or what?

If you want to play Fantastic Contraption, play it in the afternoon.

Why? I've done the tests myself.

Morning-slow
after that-better but still slow
middle of the day-perfect
afternoon-sweet, good
night-no connection at all-no:
