## Mechanism Library *Updated!

### Mechanism Library *Updated!

Yo homies. Welcome to the mechanism library! Whether you're here to learn how to be showy, or looking for the way to solve a hard level, chances are we've got the mech for you.

Disclamer: I don't know who some of the original mechs were made by!!

~Arms and Retrievers~

11952870 from Robotmafia
Example solve: Halfmaster1
This is a very basic retriever, goes back and forth 90 degrees.

11298502 from txsbor25
Example solve: txsbor25
A two segment retriever, it has proved to be very useful.

11299066 from Wafflekins
A very useful back and forth retriever.

11301806 from Protogenious
Very cool mech, the "reflex quadrilateral". Turns approximately 90 degrees then back 180 degrees.

11746646 from Foss
Example solve: Foss
The amazing and wonderful, 570 degree brown mech :D

11795963 from Pawel
A great 180 to 360 degree turning arm.

11952917 from Ken75
Example solve: Ken75
Super useful arm that orbits the build area, loads of room for modification

11849529 from Foss
Example solve: Foss
An amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing flippy floppity blippity boo. May be hard to find other uses for this mech.

11954687 from Ken75
Example solve: Ken75
An arm that goes all the way around the build area

11994666 from Dmasters
Example solves: Dmasters Dmasters again
A super cool moving thrower thing

~Catapults~ (There's a lot of them, we need more on here!)

11952922 from Ken75
Example solve: Ken75
A basic brown pult, pretty poorly made :P

11953417 from {???}
Example solve: {???}
Super useful brown pult for vertically challenged build areas

12009520 from Marjo
Example solve: Marjo
A basic pult mechanism

~Bridges~

11953425 from Foss
Example solve: Foss
Foss himself has shown that this underbridge/pult is super uselful

11973122 10860484 from Rianbay
May make a dissection so you can see the mech more clearly if it's requested

11976810 from Ken75
Example solve: Ken75
A very easy to tweak and long reaching bridge, best on levels with tall build areas

~Miscellaneous~

11401958 from Rianbay
A way to join two bridges under one weight.

11865925 from Camero09
Example solve: Ken75
A mech that moves an arm back and forth 4 (or maybe more) times!

11952889 from Rianbay
Example solve: Ken75 (Middle part has one of them)
One of the single most useful mechanisms ever, locks in place so things can be stable with no weight.

Also, check out the tutorials section in the Contraptioneering Videos thread, there's a few more complicated things that are shown step by step.

The first one I'm 99% sure was done by robotmafia. The other 1% goes to jon

Not sure if it's meaningful or original, but I have this one quadrilateral-powered pult that I think is pretty useful: http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11717743

### Re: Mechanism Library *Updated!

was digging through old designs and found a cool thing I made when I sucked
http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=10860484
so I decided to rebuild it because now I suck less
http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11973122

I'm horrible at doing the second half of extensions but the initial thing is what matters

Mmm it is really nice. I keep procrastinating on adding it to the list for some reason.

### Re: Mechanism Library *Updated!

Here is an arm (sorry) that I came up with, it is similar in function to Ken's circle arm. http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=12006747
Pros: I have found that it is easier to tweak than Ken's.
Cons: It does not travel the full circle like Ken's.

### Re: Mechanism Library *Updated!

As you said there are many types of pults... can we add them here even if we don't know who first came up with them?
Edit: Nice arm
