Can anyone explain this?

So I was on the level Under Over and just messing around with ideas when I came up with this.

Anyone know how that happens? It may take a few times for it to happen right. The best description is that my contraption exploded.

Wow, that's a new one. I would blame Gremlins.

I'll poke around and see if I can figure out what's goin on. In the mean-time things behave normally if you take off that stick that is attached twice to the wheel:
