I made sure not to look at your solution before I came up with my own. It's fascinating how we were thinking along the same lines. Very cool!

This is what I came up with after a lot of tinkering.

Also after a lot of tinkering, this is what I came up with. It is kinda a cross between the first two and the third, which is cool because I purposely didn't look at them until I finished.

Here's what I came up with. It was the first catapult/trebuchet that I tired. After looking at these, I'm guessing my design could've been more compact by tying all the water rods to the main wheel. If there are bonus points for amount of building area used, I may be the grand champion...

Most chained wheels ever.

But, to my knowledge, you are the first person to successfully thrown a chain! Which is incredibly hard. Chains are quite heavy.

Sadly, I think Col Sanders beat me to the punch. I'll have to be satiated with my Most Wheels award.

Here's a chain tosser for my most complex solution to Mind the Gap: http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=12487

Wow, I'm impressed by all of the elegant catapults and conveyor belts!

I'm bad at making them, so I had to make this ugly caterpillar:

I noticed that everyone seems to be using a tether for this level. I wanted to come up with something that I hope hasn't been tried before (although it probably has). A catapult throws a robot up onto the ledge to finish the job. It's not elegant like some of the others but it works.

Fantastic game btw... probably the best flash game ever.

I'm not sure if someone else has already done something like this, but I like my solution of using as many wheels as possible :p

Yep looks like it's victim of the over-complicated non-saving bug. :( Sorry about that. Fix shortly.
