I tried to create a machine that will jump over the gap, it's not exactly how I envisioned it but it has some weird quality (and it does the work

Nice, but by jumping the gap I mean the whole contraption has to jump.
Would be interesting to see other designs of jumping machines

How about jumping from standing still position (like in the first post)? I mean that the machine should stand on the gap edge and then take a jump.

This one is pretty bouncy...intentional only because it takes advantage of the weird properties of certain configurations (you have to wait a little while before it starts).

of course...this is one of those that gives a different result every time. in my first run-through, it completely jumped the gap with room to spare.
