Good to see you are going elegant compscure, its a rough row to hoe however.
here is my advice: The best way to begin is to mimic other players indeed your right on. but an exellent way to aquire some fc originallity is to solve bridge levels.

thanks for the advice. I'll take it. I'd say I'm shooting more for "advanced" rather than elegant. even my 2 wheel cars end up fugly somehow

I was actually gonna mention you along w Jyo, but I figured it would just come off ♥♥♥-kissy on your thread. it was you two's solves on the dreamer series that made me wonder why I'm still using all the same very basic tricks I used a year ago. Those levels weren't hard, but you dudes made some very fun to watch solves for them. I've never have rolled up my sleeves and really gotten into the parallelograms, interconnected levers/triangles, hoisting triangles w tethers instead of weights on extenders, etc.

and no need to squabble about egos, any of ya. you all earned the right to crow a little bit

you guys are amazing. if i didnt have that period of absency, i might be right up with you guys. haha.
all of these levels are pretty cool, but are out of my skill level. never tried a bridge level though, i think i will get cracking on that one.
