I've done many checks, and 1 second is definitely about 20 ticks for me; I may be off by a tick or two, but no way is it 30 ticks.

1 min = 1000 tics so... a tic is 1 miliminute?

for those who are still confused: if your pc is super fast then it could get much more than 30 fps, but the game caps it to 30 (not sure if it's 30 but it sure "feels" like 30 fps to me lol) if your pc is slow, then you will get less than 30 fps, but of course this doesn't affect the tick count.
