Oh don't worry, we know or test ideas to see if it makes the game more fun... Not just more complex. We'll stick to the original "simplicity first" rule :)

We weren't getting enough money before to support all the users of the game. When sales of the $10 accounts eventually slow down (which they will), we would have to shut down the servers as it wasn't self sustaining.

With more ads for the unregistered users we will be able to continue running the servers forevermore.

(I guess what I'm saying is - all the freeloading users right now are costing us a pretty big loss and the $10 users are paying for them... We want to make the freeloaders at least paying for the bandwidth they use)

Being able to make ovals and polygons other than squares in the level editor would be a very good improvement as well, in the sequal I mean. It's a nice simple idea that could go very far and be very useful.

Ah, seems like this concept could be applied universally. Very profound.

dr phil has 1337 post :)

for a sequel you should add grass, i mean, just as decoration

because i wouldnt like fc2 look exactly as fc1, so the grass would be a nice addition

and this is my wish list for new stuff
Air
water
trees
ground that you can dig in
magic rods that go through enviroment but not through your contraption.

and obviusly
copy paste and flip

You can add all of these features, but just don't make the game unplayable for a year. ;)

Allright, code is coming back online in a few minutes. If you are registered and you see ads, logout/back in again and refresh the page. It might take a minute or two to realize you are paid, then zip! they go away. The DesignID loading issue has been resolved. Please report if there are any other problems!

Woops, looks like the MouseWheel isn't working in the new .SWF and we are getting flickering problems again. Looking into it.

Thanks for the warning well beforehand so I didn't lose a very important contraption?

Thanks for trying to make the game run smoother and better.
I (we?) appreciate it!

I am (at present) an un-paid-up player. When I load a design now, I get the ads, as expected, but when they finally finish the design isn't there, just the main menu. What's up?
