Server Outage

Hey guys,

Around 3:00AM this morning all of our servers at our hosting company went quiet. That means all - not just Fantastic Contraption related, so it's nothing in our code and nothing to do with traffic. It took us a while to find out what went wrong, but we eventually got our servers back up and running.

During the process all of our permissions had been altered, so our database connection scripts no longer worked. We had to hardcode an alternative solution to get designs and levels saving again for FC.

Since this outage is affecting more than just FC, it's taking a bit longer than our normal response time to get things up and running again - we have a lot of problems to fix!

Things should be up and running shortly, and sorry for the inconvenience. I should have posted something around 8AM when we started working on the problem but I had to take my sick kitters to the vet

Here's some food for thought:

Kraft makes "Macaroni & Cheese" the US, but in Canada it's known as "Kraft Dinner." The reason is because Canadian advertising standards are more strict, and calling that yellow crud "cheese" is a violation of our laws. Kraft had the option to change the name to "Macaroni & Orange Crud" or to change the name completely.

Other than the name on the box though, the products are identical!

Since the time of the outage I have a problem when accessing solutions of any level via the web interface, i.e. http://fantasticcontraption.com/designs/?levelId=[number] . I always get response "403 Forbidden".

Like Mity, I am not able to access solutions either. Is this being fixed too? Sure would be nice to have that feature back!!!!!!!!!

Are you logged in to the site not just the game.

Sure I am logged in to the site. I can see my profile and my designs and everything. Only the list of designs for given level does not work.

Um, I can't access the wiki right now as it gives me an Error 500. Does this relate to the server outage?
