I later thought a way around this- edit the level, make your own level with the moved to the build area- then you could see which passages were big enough. This is something I've never seen before. It's well known that if you remove pieces and put them back in the exact same place, but in a different order that that will cause complicated designs to not work, but I've never seen a case where adding any piece seemingly totally unaffecting the design causes it to fail. Otherwise, pixie dust wouldn't work. (See above -removing some of the non-essential pieces causes a slight miss- that's normal. But adding a new piece anywhere cause a huge miss.
