Hap! Good to know you're still out there somewhere, man.

And now to the games.

Got the revised design from Paleo and decided to run the other game as well to see if the infraction would affect the outcome. It did not. So no point asking someone to make a different design for no reason. A penalty was called on that level and a touchdown awarded to the other team.

Here are the games

Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone who has played. May be Sunday before I have the Superbowl levels up.

Wow! great game, Paleo. Closer than the score indicates.

FYI, my LB design didn't totally match up with what I submitted. My "flicker" launches the ball harder in my submission than it did live.

Is this a piece ordering issue when you FCML it up? Obviously I'm not complaining, it didn't affect anything, just curious.

And congrats to Sparkle as well, what a matchup. Looks like we get to settle that Sub 500 tick comp tie ;)

Jompy, if you end up with some spare time, I'd love to see me vs sparkle and me vs cruiser...

it's a rounding error thing, I think. The coordinates and angles are a little bit off when you clone it. It's why I've said in the past that you should think of yourself as the coach calling the play-- it may not be run perfectly. I try to tweak them back so they work as close as possible.

In this round your flicker didn't work, Paleo's defense initially fell forward instead of backward, and you can see Cruiser's top wheel on defense bumps the ghost instead of going up there smoothly.

Here's your un-tweaked flicker: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11457345
Paleo's defense falls forward: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11457336

Good Game JD... I think its pretty wild that your Offense clears the top of my Defense good guess... I think my High and other LB design may have matched up better... Good luck

Hey jompy it would be fun for Crusher and I to play for third , if he would like to try?

Paleo - will you post your other O (and/or) D, and your other looseball? Better yet, send them to jompy to match them up? I don't think he has enough to do, and I can't get enough of watching these matchups :)

PS: Paleo, when I saw you're O I was so nervous, I didn't think anyone was going low, so I was minimal on my "low" defense. I got very lucky that it hit your contraption right.

Superbowl levels up.

Submit 4 designs this time:
One Speed design (seemed appropriate since you guys never got to hash out the 500 comp)
One Offense
One Defense
One Loose Ball

Let me know when you are locked in. (try to beat the lock out ;) )
Winner gets 20 bucks toward NFL shop or charity of their choice

Paleo and Cruiser can play the levels for 3rd place if they both want to. Let me know.

Superbowl

jdel vs sparkleflower

Superbowl
Back to basics. Special teams. Line play. Avoid turnovers. Win.
3 levels this time.

Kickoff

Speed kills. Who has the better return game.
This is a speed comp level, not head to head....

oh sure - just hand the superbowl to the speed king lol

yeah, I was thinking about that. I wanted to do 2 Offense vs Defense levels but couldn't come up with a second one.

but that is screwy to change the format, specially when speed is kinda his thing (I was thinking it's sorta yours too)

scratch the speed level and I'll come up with a 2nd O vs D tonight. But go ahead and start on the other designs.

 gotta have one last bit of drama

ha. Okay. If you're cool with it I cannot imagine jdel with have a problem with it.

Go with the speed level.

And with 4 designs, there is always the chance of a tie for the entire game. If so, there will be a sudden death OT loose ball level.

Good luck, guys. can't wait to see 'em

lol. this super bowl is shaping up to have more administrative mishaps than the real super bowl ;)

I'm, of course, fine with the speed level too. I've been out of town all weekend, and today is the first day I'm taking a look at the levels.

they've only been up since midnight or so. no rush. make sure you got em where you want them

I'll do those matchups from last week later today.

sparkleflower wrote:had a blast getting here

me too. my regret was that the cloned designs were off enough that I couldn't make levels where you threw the ball, etc. if it worked a little better you could definitely do some cool stuff. I was hoping to make a field position level for the Superbowl where you would actually kick off, but couldn't get anything workable.
