chain and sprocket engine

Postby madmaveric1 on Sat Sep 06, 2008 8:31 pm

I tried a chain and sprocket engine to get a fast set of wheels to pass the block through (and fire it into the target) but so far no luck :D

Anyone else tried this idea and got it working?

You can avoid the explosive effect by replacing the center powered ball with an umpowered one. It will reduce the overall power of the wheel, but it won't explode on you, either. Also, linking the outter individual wheels together might help increase your speed.

And you'll want better reinforcement on that large, center wheel. Add a few more water rods, including one or two from above to stabalize it. And if you can tighten up the chain a bit, you'd increase efficiency.

Good points there, I need to remove some links from the chain as I kind of hit the limit on number of rods I could place as well :D

II'll give it another go :D too addictive this game
