Magnum Elimination Tournament - Cruiser40 Wins!

Postby 0000FF_3.14 on Tue Dec 27, 2011 4:00 pm

Welcome to the Magnum Elimination Tournament!

Guidelines of the tournament

We will be using the Magnum scoring method
To have a chance of moving on to the next round, you must submit a winning submission
The bottom half of the submissions (the half with the worst scores) will be eliminated from the tournament
Immunity will be given to the solution with the fastest solve [if equal ticks, then tie broken with pieces; if equal pieces, tie broken with mass]
The solution must also be in the top half

Magnum Scoring

    Pieces*Ticks = Score
      *Press "T" for Ticks*

Current Round: Round 4
- Top solution wins the tournament

just to clarify, nobody gets knocked out on the qualifier round right? because i think it was obvious that i wasnt going for simplicity

eh.... immunity using magnum rules for the qualifier?... or "just the fastest" ?.. cuz it might matter... just sayin

Im sure jdel could whip up a speedy winner if piece count doesnt affect anything.

Fastest solve for immunity for all rounds :) (It's just easier for the qualifier)

Updated leaderboard + some notes

in a round, if someone doesnt prevail magnum-wise... all they have to do is make the fastest solve to move on?

I guess what im saying is, that if someone, for instance, is nervous of being eliminated, they could just make a fast solve instead of a magnum solve to survive the cut?

That could get interesting i suppose :-)

^ I should include that the solution has to be in the winning bracket :P (No eliminations for qualifier, so just go for fastest solve)

IMO the highest magnum score should get the immunity
cause it doesnt make sense
people will just put tons of pieces to get the fastest solve

For the qualifier, yes, but for the other rounds, they have to be eligible (aka, in the top half) AND get the fastest solve.
