Wow! This one almost made it, it just needed a little more power.

Speaking of power, how did you get the basket to start launching to ball so well? It's impressive... We can either keep trying at lots of power or get it into a high arc, (landing just past the static circle) in which case the brown-o-pult will take it from there.

That toss would be cool but I think, like you said, it would have to be a pretty high arc.

I got the ball to launch by trying to get the joint on the long rod above the basket to hit the solid green platform at the same time the weights yank the large triangle at the other side. There was a lot of basket tweaking too.

After losing patience with the above design, I decided to try something new and it actually wasn't as hard as it looked!

Under Awash clockwise! http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=12034164
It's actually pretty fast for an Awash design.

I also got an under Up the Stairs clockwise, which was already done by hamy. Oh well.

And just to rub in the underpult thing I also wanted to do a "two balls under Four Balls."
I've scrapped multiple designs over and over due to spazzing. When I make underpults I don't throw weights on top, I add just enough length to the arm so that it can't lift it till it rolls over the edge. After tweaking for a while the underpult always becomes uncooperative and starts spazzing out because of the built up energy. Then I start over.

Here is my progress with various attempts.

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=12035523 (I built this today after several redos and it did this well on the first run! Apparently repetition does wonders. )

The main problem I am facing is getting enough power, and it has a closely related counterpart: getting it to throw at the right time. I have also watched it reel into the finish several times and have seen that the catcher skips over the goal and does not "sink" into it. However, it does pause, the goal pieces may be able to fall out there. Finally, the two goal pieces that stay at home need to go in as well, an I have got a fairly reliable method for getting that down. Here is the latest and best.

Progress on under Handling backwards with help from dmasters and dragon-man. We need all the help we can get, but we've come a long way. (pun not intended)

New longway for awash
Over the upper obstacle twice

EDIT
I would like to take a look at this design from rianbay and see if it could be tweaked to completion. I did some small tweaking and got it to here
http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=12051910

If the catapult worked, we could attach a basket on the end of the bridge on the right to catch the ball and when the catapult falls left, it would pull the bridge back into the goal. It's a longshot, but it would be ipecac

Editedit
I really think it's possible. It's going to take a lot of effort, the catapult will need more power and the bridge will need to be longer, but it could work

I found this design by samoo* and I think it's my new favorite solve on FC. It isn't a longway, it's just awesome to watch
