Does Four Balls count as solved?
http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=5504216 - Has two balls in the starting area when there should be only one.
http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=4882804# - Glitches for me before it completes

Bit of a newbie on this thread, but I have a few ideas that might work. Unfortunately I lack the time and energy to relentlessly tweak my designs. :(

http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8846284
Trying to go underground forwards instead of backwards. When the chain is lengthened, the swinging arm doesn't unfold and there isn't enough force to get it up there. (I took a few bits from -Jon-'s and Camaro's designs and improved the swinging arm from -Jon-'s.)
http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8846114
In this one, I'm trying to get the ball around the lowermost object of U-turn. It hangs in next to the build area at the end, so a mechanism to get it up there shouldn't be difficult.

Too bad it uses a glitch.

Sumaleth the ipecac's Underground handling solution was counted, so why not mine? Phasing is generally accepted as a minor glitch and a few designs here have bits phase through statics here or there. I simply made my tether more susceptible to phasing through objects. There is also a precedent; {???}'s under rolling away solution.
http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=5058992 Sumaleth's
http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8449815 {???}'s
If an object bounces off a static object, it abuses a glitch by your logic because, since goal objects and wheels are indestructible, they must phase slightly and be pushed back out of the static object. The momentum from being pushed out of the static object carries the goal object away, resulting in a bounce. If that is true, then any solution where a goal object bounced would be considered null and void by your logic.

On a side note, I would also like to inform you that joint-stretching is a "glitch", and yet it is accepted on this thread. According to your logic, any solution incurring stress on a structure is null and void. Sticks and rods are indestructible. Therefore stress is distributed to the joints, causing them to stretch. Due to the fact that any stress causes stretching, unnoticeable as it might be, and that WEIGHT causes stress, any object made of two or more components experiences joint stretching, even if the pixels on your computer screen are to large to represent it.

The method I used is a combination of joint-stretching and phasing, both of which are perfectly acceptable.

In my opinion, those are 2 different glitches, Sumaleths just goes through the environment, your's has kind of... a spring

Did I not mention joint-stretching? I think I devoted a whole paragraph on the subject...
Joints are not perfect. They have a tendency to stretch. If you look at rolling away counter clockwise over the top obstacle, you can see as the bridge unfolds, it bends under the weight. Once the weight of the un-folder fell off, the whole bridge "sprung" up. Need another example?
http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8324557 (Narwhals!'s)
Here the ball's weight deformed the joints on the bridge, causing it to "spring up" and catapult the GS. Since the joint's deformed and sprung back, is the solution any less valid?

If everyone on this thread didn't accept that phasing and joint-stretching is a fact of FC, there would be almost no designs.

Sorry if my logic offended anybody, but under the bend traditionally would unnecessarily exhaust time.

GUys evil clone is correct there is nothing at all wrong with a phasing solution as he calls it. Its not exactly the coolest solution to solving longway but I think it is quite fair.

Mind the Gap, Under the left and right half of the ground, along with the upper right rectangle.
http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8949097
I'm pretty sure this doesn't count. The ball and some chain hit the physics barrier, making them phantoms. A good off-the-record design though. :toot:

Perhaps we could do a design like this for Under the Stairs, counter-clockwise. I also think the "catapult and catcher" idea could work as well. Your pick...

I think that counts, it's the same glitch that Sumaleth used, so I think it acceptable, congratz too, that was ipecac

Thanks Enwironzvae. :)
When Sumaleth had his chain goes through the environment, there was resistance. It took visible effort for the machine to pull it through. When an object hits the physics barrier, they stick there if nothing is holding on. If they do get reeled back on screen, the objects can pass through stuff like it's butter. Even if the things weren't phantom at the end, the chain was long enough to wrap around the :srect: and win anyway.

By the way, I didn't see any designs for going around the left objects clockwise in handling. So here you go;
