When seeking a best solution, what does that mean? I say it means, few number of pieces, runs fast, and stable (having a high chance of working despite slight mangling).
A single segment speed run encourages finding "best" solutions, so I gave it a try. After some thinking about methods, practice, and tries, I got 4:50. Here is the video for that:

If anyone is interested in making their own attempt, I recommend using camstudio with xvid codec (both free). This was the first time I ever recorded my sceen, and it was actually really easy to do using those tools (however those weren't the first things I tried unfortunately).
It might be too much of a time investment to try to master all levels, but you can still contribute designs for individual levels and I will try to incorporate them into the run. There are probably many clever ways of doing
levels that I have not thought of.
3 pieces 4 balls i swear that's a record
