Halfmaster's 2nd Elimination Comp (H2EC) Qualifier

Postby halfmaster1 on Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:54 am

Welcome to H2EC, another pointlessly acromnymed topic (APAT). This will be much different from my last comp, as it's normal elimination.

The elimination section has been removed, as it is to long. If you would like to know how elimination works, then PM me.

Rules:
1. No glitches
2. Design must be submitted by a time which would allow me to post results the day after the deadline.
3. All designs must be submitted in correct format.

Scoring:

:green: Green 3 (Does not use any power wheels)
- :brown: Brown 3 (Uses only water rods and wooden rods)
-- :woodrod: Carpenter 4 (Uses only wooden rods)
-- :waterrod: Water 4 (Uses only water rods)
:unconnected: Unconnected 6 (No pieces are connected to each other)
- :rodless: Rodless 10 (Uses only wheels)

Badges Stack

:handsoff: * 3 Hands-Off (Do not move the Goal Piece)
:badgeless: 5 Badgeless (Do not achieve any other badges besides this badge)
:sweep: ** 5 Sweep (Clear all dynamic objects off of the screen)
:champ: 6 Champion (Goal Piece stays in the goal forever)
:boomerang: 9 Boomerang (Goal Piece returns to the building area after victory and stays there forever)
:champ: :boomerang: 13 Infinite Boomerang (Goal Piece goes into the goal area and back to the build area at least 20x)
:clean: 6 Clean (Clear off all contraption pieces off of the screen)
:lightning: 3 Lightning (Solve the level faster that the recommended number of ticks)
Image 5 Pilot (The Goal Piece does not touch any static or dynamic object besides the one it starts on)

*Does not apply if Goal Piece starts outside of build area
**Does not apply if there are no dynamic objects

Every round, there will be a Bonus Badge (Doubles the default amount)

- Bonus Badge Ex: If the bonus badge is :waterrod: , you will receive 8 points instead of 4.

Note-Bonus badges only count for that badge, not your entire score.

Code: Select all
Submit like this:
name, round, score badges
In a PM

Qualifier:

Dimple

:lightning: = 70

Bonus badge: :boomerang:

Deadline: Dec 4, or when 8 people join, whichever comes last.

You still need to do good in this one. If more than 16 people join, only 16 are in.

Thank you for joining. Have fun!

That qualifier level is really quite hard, I would just consider that if I were you.

Hard? I beat it in 10 pieced. All you need to do is push it to the side and plug the gap.

Pieces dont matter right? Besides I got in in 5 and am pretty sure 4 is possible.
Edit: Got 4.
Edit: Got 3. Not a cool looking one.

Powered, maybe...

Have you changed the original level? When I first played it the dynamics weren't ghosts!

Oh, sorry, I copy/pasted the wrong one. Ya, I fixed it, but my browser gave me a hard time.

And ya, pieces don't matter. I just did all of them to make sure they're possible.

Is anyone going to participate? I have a solve, but I really don't want to dominate another empty comp.

Apologize for not updating earlier. You know how preview doesn't work. Well, so does the "you have exceeded the maximum login attempts, please enter conformation code. So I can't log in on my computer now. Have to use someone else's.

Oh, and by the way:

Deadline: Dec 4, or when 8 people join, whichever comes last.
I might make the elimination allow for a smaller amount of people if not enough people are in later on.

MIGHTY? Ha! I pale in comparison to half of the people on this forum.

I pale in comparison to everyone on this forum. That's why I'm running the competition instead of joining it. I'd probably lose in the first round. I might start it sometime today, if no one else shows signs of joining.

Halfmaster, you make really good levels, but when you run a comp you are inconsistent, and thus undermine your own efforts. I will pass on this.
