Yep, I've decided to release R2 ahead of time because a couple of other contestants will be away for the next few days and I'd rather not have everyone drop out like this. I've had 15 submissions for round 1 so everyone's still going through regardless of their score. Still hoping for more solutions before the deadline. Please don't forget guys ;)

Aww I'm hoping more submit because I worked really hard on my round 1 solve

With Compscure's latest submission, that makes 16 people who are definitely going through, that is unless I happen to get any other submissions within the next 5 hours. Still haven't received a submission from lord_hamybal, the winner of immunity from the qualifier.

yea ive deleted board cookies....My humble suggestion to everyone - - - - - DONT click the "logout" button  Cuz thats what i accidentally did.

I don't know if this applies to your situation, but today I found myself logged out of FC and every time I entered my username and password (correctly) it told me that I had made too many log in attempts (when I hadn't) and then the page instantly refreshed back to the login screen. Well here's a work-around solution which worked for me: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9980

Note: Results will be delayed while I get my son to sleep. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Results now up! Congrats to uuuiiiooop on his remarkable 3pc water solution. Patacoman was also in the running for immunity but fell short on ticks. So close guys! I'm glad that we managed 18 submissions out of the initial 26 who qualified; I was worried that no one would submit. I guess this time of year everyone is busy with Xmas and New Year's (another reason for extended deadlines)

Well, congrats to those who made it through to R2. Hopefully this one won't be a total water fest, but we'll see. Looking forward to seeing the results :D

Best of luck!

Sorry, mate. When I saw your previous post, I thought you would submit something but from what you wrote, I assumed you'd gone to sleep and had planned to submit in the morning (US time I assumed) Feel free to play along with guest solutions though ;)

Thanks, jompy. If it's any consolation, you were on course to go to R2 until 51 mins before the deadline when I received a couple of other submissions. Feel free to play along for fun though :)

Ex. :cwheel: x2, :woodrod: x3 and :waterrod: x1 = 6 piece count x 0.7 modifier (0.4+0.2+0.1) = 4.2
If you use all 5 piece types, your modifier will total 1.0

Just noticed this now

I put that so people wouldn't wrongly assume that the use of a CW wheel and a CCW wheel would result in a modifier of 0.8 (0.4+0.4). If you use both wheels in a design, your modifier is still 0.4. So the use of all 5 (three types of wheel and two types of rod) will result in a modifier of 1.0.

Hey, wait a minute !
We just had time to say "Happy New Year" and you're asking for a leaderboard for round 2 ?

Let us some time to find the lucky tweak that will make that blue solve valuable...

I was asking if there might be one this round not meaning to imply that it should be up already. Sorry.

here was my solve http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11348093

looks like i should have put more effort into my blue attempt. After starting late, I was running short on time and gave up. I should be able to spice up a good one for this round. Hopefully :-)

i still cant get my login to work for the life of me. I think i'll just give up and use this account for the forum. I was wondering if i changed my password on the main FC account if it might reset this forum account too. Not sure if i want to gamble with that. I have 2 years worth of work over there.... lol ...That would suck big time to lose that one too.

RKL, I had similar issues and never was able to resolve them, then somehow I stumbled into separating the two logins - one with cooljenny and one with jennysdad. It's a bit cumbersome to others, but once I set it up, it's transparent to me except that PMs sent to cooljenny don't reach me. I didn't lose any designs.

ya, i have both accounts on auto-login...... when i play FC it signs me in as rkl..... when i open the forum its rkl_2....

I can go back and forth freely which is fine with me... however, just as a matter of principal, we do have a top notch FC member trying to pull some magic strings for us. Stay tuned.

ID36 did a great job making R2, good luck with it.

I've only had 7 submissions so far, so again it looks like everyone who has submitted is going through. Even though there about 4 days to go, let's aim for full submissions this round
