Connection Problems

Does anyone else have problems getting rods (water or wood) to stick to the appropriate location on the wheel? I can zoom in all the way and center the end points up together with visual perfection and then once I run my build it becomes evident that the points are not connected. anyone else having this problem? anyone have a solution? would you actually consider this a bug?

Can you post an example? You can't link wheel points to itself; and there's a 10-pixel auto-snap-to, so the more you zoom in the harder it is to get perfect.
