It allows you to make levels using a generator where you input values for the pieces [goal area, goal piece, dynamic objects, etc]

FCML is quite possibly the bet way to make levels. Although it takes a while to make a level, they are always of absolute perfection.

FCML is basically a way to make levels absolutely perfect. There are some advantages such as super small :goalc: :dcircle: s, putting :ccwheel: :cwheel: :upwheel: :woodrod: :waterrod: in a level, making "magic lines" by putting length or width to 1 with a :srect: :drect: , and making super small :goal: and maybe super small :build: , and circle generator. I only use FCML editor when I need circle generator , or when I wnat a small goal.

Click on the link to the Wiki at the top of the FCML page. That explains how to add pieces.

I guess, if I were to explain it in at least English as possible...

This creates a :goalr: at (10, 15), that is 200 long (width) and 100 high (height), rotated 0 degrees:
Code: Select all
GoalRect (10, 15), (200, 100), 0

This creates a :goalc: at (400, 500), that is 40 long (width) and 40 high (height), rotated 0 degrees:
Code: Select all
GoalCircle (400, 500), (40, 40), 0

Note that the width and height are the same, because it is a circle.

:goalr: GoalRect
:goalc: GoalCircle
:goal: GoalArea
:build: BuildArea
:drect: DynamicRect
:dcircle: DynamicCircle
:srect: StaticRect
:scircle: StaticCircle

You need to put the following somewhere:
Code: Select all
@name Name of the level
@description You don't need to put this

I'm not sure if anyone has figured out yet, I may be stupid but can't you put out what ever you want and then edit it on the FC level editor?

Thats what people use it for sometimes, lots of pieces the same size, and then edit it manually

I need help. I wanted to make 2 circles for a level, then when I hit "Upload" and hit "Further Edit" the page with the level on it came up but it didn't have the circles. I don't know what to do! (Also how do you make :ccwheel: :cwheel: :upwheel: :woodrod: :waterrod: in a level?)

Late reply, but it is likely that you might have used too many objects, so FC never loaded the level. The build and goal area should be far apart, not right next to each other. If they are right next to each other, then the level editor is showing the default level, and your level was never loaded, so then your level was too large. You can view your level on FCR, and if it was too large, FCR will error out.

Thanks sk. But how do you make :ccwheel: :cwheel: :upwheel: :woodrod: :waterrod: in a level? Also how do you make it so :goalc: and :goalr: are connected? Please reply!
