I thought I'd try to make a clock-like mechanism, but when I tried to create a pendulum, I noticed the dampening is ridiculously high, so the oscillations stop rather abruptly. Is this just "air friction" programmed in? This surprised me since I also have noticed there is no rolling friction in the FC engine.

Here are some basic swinging figures that seem to stop very quickly. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=663231

Any thoughts on changing the parameters in future releases?

I'm guessing that's less air friction and more linkage friction.

Yeah I think it's a lack of WD-40 on the joints that is behind this effect. I'll put it on the "consider it" list for Pacifist.
