Wow... some of you really don't seem to get it.

Suppose your friend calls you up and says "Lets go to the beach!" It sounds like an ok idea so you drive out there only see that he isn't there. He then tells you it was a joke and he was just trying to waste your time.*** If this were to happen to me I would be relatively upset at my friend and tell him not to do that again. If he continues to do that I would consider his behavior quite unchill and most likely stop hanging out with him. I might even tell him to stop posting on the same forum as me.

It is not a matter of whether or not I know how to close a rickroll, its a matter of wasting my time clicking through the song line by line or ctrl-alt-deleting my way out of the page. I can understand youtube links; they are quite easy to shrug off, but the intentions of posting a link with the sole purpose of annoying the person on the other end (especially after you are repeatedly told not to) in my opinion is quite worthy of a ban.

That is all I have to say on this subject, as the thread is already derailed. I however, do not want to be unreasonable. I do understand the allure of a nice rickroll. This is why I am completely willing to compromise. I promise to not ban any person of this forum for posting any link to a rickroll provided they post it somewhere on the internet other than the FC forums. Now you all can enjoy your rickrolling tendencies and I can enjoy a forum free of obnoxious and annoying links.

***For those of you who reside on the left side of the bell curve, this is an allegory for a rickroll.[/url]

How incredibly ironic. Someone complaining on a game message board about wasting time.

Good point. The only difference is that I prefer to waste my time doing things I find enjoyable.

I'm not used to it popping up, but I like the song.

That doesn't mean you can go and force the song upon others when they don't like it. If you wanted us to know the song, just post a link to it like off of Youtube, not in an annoying, obnoxious rickroll.

It goes against the "Chill" rule actually.

Ahhh, my favorite rule.

Apparently someone needs to be more specific on what "Chill" means.

That would defeat the purpose of the chill rule.

Haha, that is true.
It just seems like a portion of the younger crowd have a hard time grasping that rule.

Wouldn't pointing out unchillness also be unchill? ;)

That's why teenagers in Baltimore developed the gender-neutral pronoun "yo" in place of "he" or "she". http://itre.cis.upenn.edu/~myl/language ... 05298.html
It is quite useful at times.
