FC Not Running in Background

Postby Hero88go on Fri Mar 12, 2010 3:06 pm

I dont know if this is a feature to the Mac version of Firefox - or a glitch.

Whenever I have a design running, then I click into another window,
my design "pauses" so it doesn't run in the background.

I thought it was a flash thing but other games do run in the background.

So I am leaning toward glitch..

Sometimes this is a good thing but other times its not so good [with a long design]

Thanks.

on my mac it only stops when I go to another tab, in another window it continues running. (with safari)

Same here; Hero did you mean window or tab? If you meant tab, the solution is to open a new window.

Me too. I'm pretty sure it is an optimization on safari's behalf: if you don't have that tab open, then you won't be needing flash to hog cpu cycles. I am not sure how they allow audio content to persist—they do some pretty clever things.

I mean tab.
Its a bit of hassle to change between windows instead of tabs.

I this "Problem" only occurs on my Mac, but not on my windows computers.
I am using the latest version of firefox with the latest version of MacOSx

Well, barely anyone uses Opera, but If you are getting problems on Safari and firefox, then go for Chrome or Opera.
