I think this just might be a mac problem, because I have the same results as you do, dj-duf.

Nice find.

I can reply, but I don't have anything helpful to say at the moment.

Thanks for finding this... We will get to it and attempt to fix it when we can. We will most likely have to set up a debugger on a mac and try to track it down in a very slow process. I have no idea what might be causing it, flash is supposed to be identical across machines.

Have you tried updating your flash player bychance? Or can you tell me what version you have?

Just FYI, it has to do with floating-point-number precision. That is to say, on some processors, 1 divided by 3 is
0.33333333333333333333333333333334
and other processors it's
0.33333333333333333333333333333333

The little difference has a cascading effect throughout all the interactions in the game. The more extreme (large, fast moving, complex, long running) your contraption, the more susceptable it is.

Hehe, nice try Hero but that unfortunately would never cause the kind of thing they are describing. This is something funky going on with their menus, whereas what you're quoting is the effects of long-run precision contraptions.

Actually, nice try Jared but unfortunately for once you are wrong :-)

There has always been a very small but very important replay change with Mac vs. PC. No matter if it is inconsistent replay or not.

Every single design will play a little different on a mac then a pc, and vice versa.

In this case, the magnetism factor in the level is just so variable in force terms that it will make a larg[er] difference when running different processors.

Good day to you sir :)

Haha. Uppity hero!

He's not describing a small difference between PC and mac:
"if you press it you see The goal piece faling down Pres stop and start again and it works fine!"

To me it sounds like he's describing something similar to the old blackhole bug where odd iterations of the game work and even ones do not.

What you are talking about is floating point math discrepancies, and yes, that is unfixable. But the difference between 0.33333333333333333333333333333334 and 0.33333333333333333333333333333333 won't cause basic physics to stop from the very instant you press start. In addition on a mac(and pc), playback should be exactly the same every time when compared to the previous time played back on that computer.

uh,, no. Hes not talking about something similar to the blackhole glitch. Ill video tape it with jing and then upload it right now.

EDIT: Uploading right now.

Ok, so the issue I might be able to help with is the inconsistent replay. I don't know what would cause that either. What happens the third and subsequent time you run it? Is it only the first time, every odd time, etc?
