Symantec firewall?; Also, ads even though I paid?

Hello. I'm experiencing two issues, hopefully someone can help!

1) I can only get the game to run if I turn off the Symantec firewall that resides on my laptop. Can someone suggest what I need to tell my firewall to let FC run?

2) I paid for access to FC1 yet I'm seeing tons of ads, before accessing the game, before trying every level, etc. That's not normal, right?

You should be able to clear your cookies and the ads will go away. Ads appearing for paid users WAS fixed a while ago (~3 weeks?) as far as i could tell. i don't know why they are back.
