FC broken with iPhone/iPod OS 4.2

Fantastic Contraption 1 has a problem with the latest iPhone/iPod OS update (version 4.2).
The onscreen keyboard doesn't appear when the text box is touched.

The game is unplayable - user can't login.

Many complaints on the itunes reviews for the past month but no mention here in the forums.
Does anyone know if FC1 is still supported and when/if a patch will be available?

Same here. Pity, as FC2 isn't greatly playable either,
saved designs often don't do what they did after saving!
There goes my fav time waster.
