I wanted to see if anyone could design a rapid fire catapult AKA machine gun.you can also have a battle of the catapults to see who can knock off the opponnent with their gun. here is the battlefield/ testing area.http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=1845315
Here are some of my attempts at making one:

I remember I tried to making a repeating-fire Squib once. Didn't work out so well...

Here's what I managed to come up with. Perhaps not as eloquent as some of the previous designs.
After the first shot misfires, the rest come off perfectly. This setup has poor aim, and the timing was a pain in the BUTT! Let me know what you think.

Here's a slightly updated one. This one has marginally better timing, because there's actually a mechanism for that now,as opposed to tweaking the shots into the right place.

What the Auto-Loader lacks in distance, it gains in functionality. It has near-unlimited munitions capability and the same mechanism that loads the ball also prevents jamming. Even with a full cartridge, the Auto-Loader maintains stability making it ideal for both anti-armor or anti-sub deployment.

http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8971020

Evaluation... 20 balls in 1000 ticks = 1ball every 50 ticks (estimate)
Anti-jam delay occurrences... 2
Results... Avg. 1 ball every 45 ticks = Acceptible
Production of 'Infini-clip'... Granted

*System Update* WARNING... Latest research shows that extended clips, if improperly installed, may increase the risk of jamming. As a result, production of the Infini-clip has been put on hold until further notice.

Advancements in anti-jam technology have resulted in higher than expected performance and consistency. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8976626
Slightly slower than Mk II, it goes at around 50 ticks each.

Progress on repeating squib: Partial. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8976837
Very slow, but powerful fire. Good for taking down Capital Starships. =P

Updated to V2, now with sophisticated loader. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=8976891

Auto-Loader M3 operators' notes:
Ejector misalignment if left in operation after dispersion of ammunition. Do not run Empty.

An experiment in power, check out the height gain at ~1000

23 in 260 ticks :D

I tried to eqiup it with an infinity loop loader, but that didnt work because I ran out of pieces to use.

Mine doesn't start until 70 ticks, but after that it only take 120ticks to fire 9, meaning aboit one ball every 12.5 ticks:)

Presenting the A-1 Elegance artillery.

http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=10237096

It boasts a vertical InfiniClip column reaching the ceiling, packed with 21 balls shot at 40 ticks each.

Impact power, range, and accuracy are all quite good.

With NO delay, NO jamming and NO missed shots, it provides the most regular and reliable long-lasting barrage available.

The throw arm and the loader are powered by the same 8-pink engine for always-perfect timing.

EDIT: V 1.3 - tweaked for extreme distance. Nearly all balls completely overshoot the entire floor.

Gentlemen! The M5-12!
Engine Size: 5 Yellow in 4-Aid-1 configuration
4 firing mechanisms
Fires 14 in 246 ticks and I only counted one or two jams.
If you add a certain tweak in the feeder, it don't jam as much.
The M5-12

Edit:
With Larger Clip/edited Anti-Jam
Fires 29 in 587 ticks
The M11-20
