Yep, I figured that someone would just drop a huge amount of trash. I was hoping that there would be some sort of rule that stated the whole contraption needs to be connected or in one piece. Otherwise, there is no contraption that can with stand climbing the tube. I know that i was able to build a few that could withstand a bunch of sticks, but this one is just plain silly.

I guess I also hoped that someone would actually build a contraption that moved down the tube (in a controlled fashion) and actually pushed the the other contraption out the end. i guess this was expecting too much.

You may consider adding a few rules like:

All the parts of the contraption must be connected.
The upper contraption is limited by 12 pieces.

This would not actually make this contest fair, but it would at least bring it closer to equal.

I has an I dea for a bot battle like this!!
There are 2 identical tubes and each player has an upper space in one tube and a lower space in the other tube and whoever stays in their tube the longest winzzzz!!!

This is good, but the makes it kinda confusing, and when you make boundaries, make them higher then the middle
