It's so awesome I'm stumped as to what I should make first.
Small suggestion: You should have the ability to make "holes" in things. To make a hollow circle requires a ton of objects and is annoying, so if you could make holes, that would be nice.

why does the last piece you placed or moved flash?

Poots is right about the copy and paste, but the real reason that the last piece you placed or moved is auto-selected is because you can use the arrow keys to adjust selected pieces one pixel at a time. I often use that to place or move something and then push it as close as possible to the edge. You can also do this with a joint by selecting it(move it) and then adjusting it with the arrow keys.

As for the arrow keys, they move the highlighted connection (or piece) .... ahh... for lack of a better word i will call it one "unit" or pixel as you referred to it above. I noticed that you can move it a little less than that "unit distance" if you want to, simply by clicking and dragging (in 3x or 4x zoom)..... is there any way for us to control say for example an "exact" distance between two points? or do we have to tweak this by hand as always?

For example:

I am wondering if it is at all possible to put an edit box on one side of screen, or perhaps in the lower right hand corner where the ticks and piece count is. This edit box could contain an exact length of a brown stick or water rod to sayyyyy 3 or 4 decimal places.... and if i were tweaking out a certain design, i could look into that box, and actually type in a dimension to increase/decrease the length of the selected/highlighted piece rather than clicking and dragging it. This edit box(s) idea could also include coordinate dimensions for highlighted joints/connections. I think this could seriously enhance real mechanical physics applications within this game.

I loved that idea and wanted to do it. Unfortunately its just not really possible. Physics engines handle squares and circles very well. They do not handle convex/concave shapes very well at all.

However, as a consolation, we have discussed doing more with goal and build areas in the future.

If you press ctrl + z , you can undo stuff.
