Do the squares have to be flat in the slot, or can they be tilted and kind of half in?

Also, what happens if there is a tie? All winners get 2 points?

Tilted is fine by my standards, just as long as it stays there.

If there's a tie, then yes, all the winners will get 2 points

Don't post it!
PM it to Jyo, but don't put it up for everyone to see, they'll take your design ideas >.>
I'm already done so don't worry about me

i think you might want to disallow powered or you may have people sending in designs with thousands of longways in a row by means of a monorail or repeating pult. in other words, i think everyone would go for cheapness...

i agree with the guys above...here is a repeater pult whipped up in 5 minutes that with some small tweaking, will go on forever: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11572793

maybe brown or can't go around the same static twice in a row would be some decent challenges....anyway, that's my 2 cents, :)

righto; i did mean to include that!

and btw jdc,
a design has to yield a solution for the longways to count,
so your example design would be a total of 0 longways, since it never actually solves

thot id let yoo (and everyon else i guess) no, just incase :)

i know what you mean about the design has to yield a solution, jyo....i was just showing those who didn't know, what RL was talking about...besides, with a few simple mods, i could get the repeater pult to longway as many time as i wanted before yielding a solution....now, since we are on the subject, is it against the rules to go around 2 statics, then 1 static, then around 2 again, then back around 1 again and so on until a solution has been met?...it wouldn't be the same static (as per the rules), but would be the same combo...anyway, thanx

mm... to be safe im gonna say thatz a no-go.

I want this round to be a true long-way contest,
rather than a how-long-can-you-delay-the-solution round.

im not saying you cant go around the same static twice,
but i dont want any of that cheap stuff happening.

i think a good rule of thumb is,
if you have to ask me if it's valid, then it probably isn't.

That's optimistic given the game isn't working at the moment, and solves cannot be viewed.
EDIT: Apparantly the game fixed itself about 3 minutes after I wrote this. Fair enough. :)

Round 4 results and Round 5 up!

I'm really sorry it took so long.
I was planning on posting on the friday before I went to New York,
but as we all know, FC crashed for a bit.
So I had to wait until I got back (last night) to get things started again.

Best regards
