A Tale of Three Ace Contraptioneers

Postby rlbabits on Sun Jan 01, 2012 9:04 pm

Come! Let us recall those dark times, when three terrible places in a land long forgotten made fear and doubt for the noble goal pieces, round and square alike. But look! All the noble pink shapes desired was to be at piece in their respective pink sanctuaries, but so far away and precariously perched they were. Until one day, three intelligent and brave heroes emerged, schmittd , IGLima, and Lord_Hamybal , with Catapults of remarkable ability. They rescued those goal pieces from an unthinkable fate, not fulfilling their only purpose on this earth.

Let us first tell of the valor of schmittd, And his catapult he called Accurate! A man so skilled and with such wisdom, he was able to build Accurate, a brave catapult, to get the noble goal piece across the fabled and dangerous land called "accuracy." Here is an old map of the land "accuracy" as it was long ago: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?levelId=596147
And here is what some say the noble contraption, Accurate, once looked like: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11674023 What brave and pure souls schmittd, and his contraption Accurate were. Some say schmittd and his catapult were so accurate they could hit a static circle the size of a wheel over a hundred rods away.

Another valiant man was IGLima, And his trusty catapult Launch! His courage and intelligence were so great he commanded his faithful catapult, Launch, to take the goal piece across the treacherous and deceiving land called "Timing." Here is an old map of the land "Timing" as it was long ago: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?levelId=596148
And here is what some say, Launch's true form appears as: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11674012 What kind and clever souls IGLima, and his contraption Launch were. It is rumored IGLima and his catapult could knock several unpowered wheels out of the sky, what great skill!

Finally there was the bold Lord_Hamybal, And his amazing catapult he called Finesse! His cunning and persistence are well known in the land of rods and wheels. His ace, Finesse the catapult, he painstakingly built to take the goal piece across the fabled and dangerous land called "Finesse." Here is an old map of the land "Finesse" as it was long ago: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?levelId=596149
And here is what some say the amazing contraption, Finesse, is rumored to look like: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11674034 What valiant and noble souls Lord_Hamybal, and his contraption Finesse were. Someone once told me the two could launch a dynamic square with such finesse, it would spin a hundred times, and land right were it was released.

So it has been said! may the tale of the three ace contraptioneers keeps your spirit warm and your mind sharp!

Fixed the link- as for the blank spaces, if you solve a level, your name as well as your contraption's name willl fill them

lol i was hoping that would be some motivation to solve these catapult levels :S

...lol i tested them they are not too bad either :ssh:

lol updated the thread. I figured i'd call your catapult "launch" for short, because "timed launch BC" doesn't slide of the tongue as easy ;)

haha schmittd, i'll make a contraptioneering honorable mention section if you'd still like to post yours.

LOL. but still, tales of glory and honor will be told of a lord, called hamybal, and his contraption, finesse!

Edit* Geez good job with naming your contraptions awesomely guys :/
i thought you could come up with something at tad more valiant :P

Someday stories of the mighty Pawel.Anikiel will spread across the land of static squares and dynamic circles too, do not worry my fellow contraptioneer :)
