well i gotta say anyone who solved r4 was doing pretty good that one was tricky. haha waffle might have been a good thing tho i wasted a lot of my time on that level...lol i had to start from scratch after a bit of experimenting i realized my method was crap lol...then it took a ton of time to get the solve. here's my timeline:
level first came out: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11766629
got all the way to here: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11767634
and then realized a much better method: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11767973
got here and knew it was possible: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11768006

edit: lol schmittd r7 is nuts..haha collab time

Round 7 is probably possible. If someone can figure out a simple way to get the rectangle down...

Probably easy because it was a speed comp

yeah i actually made a few changes to plan z to make it possible. i deleted the orignal, but it looked something like this
http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?levelId=603743

there were only two big differences:
1. Higher wall on the far right making pulting the ball around it and maneuvering the :drect: more difficult
2. Nothing for the :goalr: to land on meaning that either you would have to make it going in the goal after the ball or give it something to land on

not easy.
planning on making it difficult, but not nearly as much so as r4,6, or 7.
probably something similar to r5, or maybe a little more difficult.

and the reason i named the level plan z...
it was kindof like a last resort. so hard that only one person would solve it (assuming multiple people made it through r6)

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770648 here's a tiny start on Plan Z. It gets rid of the yellow block and the weight can be used for other contraptions :3
[edit] http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770660 potential 3x weight use

[edit 2] http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770663 I'm doing a lot better than round 6!

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770666 64 pieces but I guess good progress? Maybe more sticks can be removed from the weight. I just randomly deleted some and everything still worked fine.

just had a peek at plan Z and thot the ball could go over the top...checked out the enhanced wireframe and
the ball has to travel down, then left, then right around bottom, back up, then left around middle, & right into the goal, hmmm...without the brick, no problem...with the brick--->

SERIOUS PROBLEM!

if anyone wants to try a collab (i see waffle is starting), i will help where i can

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770671

yours uses two fewer pieces and it doesnt throw the block to the right. lets go with yours.

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770683 1 less piece and the block falls a bit closer

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770684 Probably the best way the rectangle can fall. I think I save too many designs while working on something :P

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770687 idea for rectangle pult

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770830 86 pieces

babits I just kinda wanna see this thing solved now.
http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11770845 here's where I got

Thoughts:
---
An idea for a rectangle pult would be just a normal pult (which could be deflected by the lower brown thing on the ball poker) which the weight could fall off for and be used as the weight for the bridge/pult thing on the bottom. Which then falls off and is used as that last and very clever ball catapult. I'm bad at getting the rectangle out but I'll tweak it a bit more and see if I can come up with anything.
Also, with that design, we have 20ish pieces left. Considering that everything is built with the exception of a 10 piece catapult for which we already have a weight, I think this is entirely possible with the right tweak.

The first weight would be the rectangle retriever, dynamic pusher, and ball retriever which will also need some kind of bridge which I'm not too worried about.
The other weight is the rectangle pult, ball pult, and second ball pult.

If someone is really clever they can think of a way to knock the bottom out from the dynamic and use that as a weight too! that may make tweaking easier, although it would get in the way of the second ball pult.

Okay that's it for my ideas, feel free to tweak TWEEK NAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eh... thats gonna be tough man..solving it like that is gonna be a crazy tweak fest..might take a couple people a couple weeks haha...here's an alternate route (maybe not much better) that will be a tad easier to tweak (i think). at the very least if you see any bits you like, feel free to augment your design with them..id look at the pros and cons of each method, how much stuff has to be done, and how many double mechanisms there are/ease of tweaking them...

http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11776604 there are about 25 pieces left..im sure you could slim it down to 30pc left...

remaining tasks (tweeking excluded):

-create a ball retriever. (and ramp, hopefully its all one mechanism)
-create a pult for the final ball part (use the underbridge/underpult as a weight for this)
-enhance the rectangle retriever (it sucks eggs)

shouldn't be too bad with 30 or so pc. left, however tweaking will be nuts.

We may need to take the rectangle retriever from waffle's design and use it with some combination of ours.

ED: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11780687 Whoever made the original rectangle retriever should try and remake it so it works...

Also that weight should be attached to a rectangle catapult which will fall off and be used as the bridge catapult and the last ball cata

Halt: http://www.fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=11780694 this almost grabs it!
