I think the point of the rule is you can't build up off the plank. The entire weight of my contraption is pressing down on the surface from the beginning. If i built it 'higher', I wouldn't touch the surface until after yours does so the plank would already be tipped in my favor. That wouldn't be fair.

Do we need a ruling from a judge?? :?:
