FCML confuses me... how do you use it?

New editor for FCML:

You need a decently large resolution (>= 1024x768).

I get it but will probably only use it to make perfect circles... otherwise it is way too complex for me.
edit: I just made a circle with it... fairly complex but I figured it out

I just updated the FCML editor so that the circle generator is integrated:

Image

  1. Insert -> Insert Circle
  2. Change the parameters
  3. Click 'Preview'
  4. Happy? Click 'OK'

http://fc.therisenrealm.com/webfcml/

New FCML editor! Also, there's a new "Transform" function to shift, scale, and rotate your levels.

Release notes:
  • You can partially transform part of a level by selecting the FCML first. This doesn't work on IE though.
  • Not tested on IE6, and not expected to work well.

still no wheels and sticks.

And whats up with jtbowdens levels? they have a minimum thickness that is less than 12 - can't create in fcml editor or in the game editor - or do you create larger then shrink?

I have changed the constraints so that the minimum length is now 1.

P.S. You can kind of simulate water (particles) with a bunch of small balls. It's not very effective on a large scale though (due to the crippling lag).

Maybe you could make it so you could search designs and levels by name too?

Major changes have been made to FC Resource internally. I've removed some (deprecated) features as well.

Please alert me of any problems you encounter!

The FCML editor is down.
http://fc.therisenrealm.com/fcmleditor/

The error message reads as follows:
An error has occurred
Why, look: it won't turn anymore!

The problem: The page you are looking for does not exist.

EDIT:
Ok, I just discovered this one http://fc.therisenrealm.com/webfcml/
Life is good

You've been using the old FCML editor all this time!

On another note, I fixed a bug where :srect: static rectangles had to be >= 40 width/height -- now back to 1.

The Level Browser is saying every design gets green and brown badges.

I'll have to look into that tomorrow.

I assume the problem lies with the display and not the detection code. Otherwise, all the calculators would be wrong. *rolls eyes*

And on another note: the penalty shot badge is currently NOT detected. I'll re-add this tomorrow.
