Hey all!
Thanks for the kind words. The new version is really stellar. A huge amount of the credit goes to Bryan Perfetto. He wrote all the code for the iPhone version. He also solved the myriad UI problems of bringing Contraption to the small screen. (the demon of the fat finger dilema lays vanquished under his blade).
Just to clear up the pricing questions:
- the 2.99$ price is introductory, it will be going up to 6.99$
- when you buy it you get everything. Including the exelent, redesigned, level editor.
- yes, this is less than the original version. The economics on the iPhone are different than on the of (there is also no free version on the iPhone)
- all of the original excelent spelling mistakes are included!
I actually think the iPhone version is even better than the original. Although there are some small differences. Some of which you guys are uncovering now. We did have to make one concession to the iPhone's smaller processor; you may find elevators more troublesome to construct. But that's about it!
One of the other differences is an additional 22 official levels. Half of which are brand new, and half of which are my favorite user made levels. And there are already some pretty stellar user levels for the iPhone version.
So, worry not, this is no blind cash grab. It's the best game in the app store!
